Tour de France Stage 11 Preview

In what was a very nervous and tense stage, Sam Bennett took his first and strong win in a fast stage beating Ewan and Sagan and taking over the green jersey. As for the GC riders there were some crashes and mishaps but everyone managed to keep themselves in contention despite the dangerous stage.

The Route

And stage 12 goes back inland into Poitiers. It's another stage for the sprinters, it should be a controlled transitional day, despite a little lump close to the finish it shouldn't pose an issue for the fast men who will face an urban finish, the opposite of today.

The finish is in a very wide avenue aswell as the final kilometers which is good to see, the passage through the center of Poitiers can be very nervous though despite not being technical.

The Weather

Some high temperatures and a slight northeastern breeze which means exactly a headwind.

Prediction Time

Ewan, S.Bennett

Pedersen, Coquard, Viviani, Sagan, Trentin

At the time I'm not home so these will come smaller in the meantime. Today's finish had him in good position and he didn't go through Bennett, so if he nails positioning like today he wont let it escape again. At this point the fight for the green jersey will start weighing in Bennett and I believe it can be Ewan's last attempt to a stage win.
